For the moment a group goes quiet and your therapist doesn’t know where to go next.

We train treatment-program staff to run groups with more confidence, using psychodrama and sociometry. On site or online, from a half day to three days, with NAADAC CE hours.

Where we’ve trained

We’ve trained clinicians and teams in eleven states, from Florida to Alaska. Some of the programs we’ve worked with recently: BriteLife Recovery, Balance House in Salt Lake City, Hearten House in Utah, Providence Farm in Chicago, Bright Sky Integrative Recovery in Bend, Oregon, Synergy Houses in West Chester, PA, Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services (AARS), and the Gerry Spence Method.

What staff say

“I have found facilitators very boring and dull in the past and I was captivated both days.” Staff member, Balance House

“I never felt scared that anyone would be pushed too far.” Staff member, Bright Sky

How it works

Training sticks when people are present with themselves and with each other, so most of the day is practice, not lecture. It starts with a call about your team and what you want them to leave with, plus a short survey of your staff about their experience and what they want from the day. We build the day around your clinicians, your clients and your level of care, then follow up a few weeks later to talk about how staff are using it.

Formats

Most programs book a full day or two. A half day works when you want one skill taught well, like group warm-ups or sociometry. Some teams keep going after the first visit with monthly training or consultation. Training hours carry NAADAC CE credit.

Not a clinical team?

We also work with companies and leadership teams. Sociometry shows a team how it actually runs: who people go to, and where conflict tends to concentrate. We’ve brought this work to trial lawyers at the Gerry Spence Method, and we build sessions for leadership teams and staff retreats.
